Sea Turtle Conservation (Pattaya-Thailand)
If You prefer educational excursions, this center might be up to Your taste! It is located at Sattahip district near Pattaya, in the area of Air and Coastal Guard. An interesting fact is that the Center was opened in 1994 by the Royal Thai Navy. The Navy is financing the project since the foundation. Their mission is to raise awareness of sea turtles extinction and to breed young turtles, that will later be released to the sea. There are three main areas at the Center: the first one provides visitors with some general information, the second one has several ponds with turtles of different age, while the third one has an aquarium with turtles and several types of fish. Outside the building, there is a small beach with a turtle statue, perfect for taking pictures. To get inside the center, You must come with Thai friend or a taxi!
