Square of St. Servul
This square was named after St. Servul, who is considered the patron of Buje, and is located in the core of the old town, near a small church – the church of St. Servul. St. Servul was born in Rome, and from early childhood, he remained completely paralyzed, and every day he was begging in front of the St. Clement Church in Rome. He was sharing all the collected alms with other beggars and also, he was buying scrolls of Scripture, but because he was illiterate, he asked priests from the Church to read some of the scrolls he had to him. When he died, he was buried near that Church in Rome.
