Church of St. Anthony of Padua
At the entrance to the town, there is the Church of St. Anthony of Padua. Earlier, the church was dedicated to St. Cyprian, the patron of plague. The builders’ intention was to build it at the entrance of the city, so as to prevent the deadly disease from entering the town and spreading all over it. The church was built in the 15th century, and rebuilt in the 19th century with votive offerings against the plague. In an alley next to the church, if you are interested in car racing, you can find the house where Mario Andretti, driver and winner of the Formula 1, used to live.
