Stonemasonry school is located in Pučišća on the island of Brač and it is more than a hundred years old. This is the only stonemasonry school throughout Croatia and beyond. Tourists can go to the school and with the help of guides see and hear about the processing of stone. They can see numerous vases, portraits, stone rosettes, monographs, capitals and columns. In addition to getting acquainted with the mode, you can also see the tools which are used such as chisel, martelina (marble trout), bućorda (hammerhead), piketa (hammer) and špuntarjuola (rough marble trout). Except traditional tools, they also use a little more modern tools. Within the school you can buy souvenirs. Because of its tradition in the processing of stone, the stonemasonry school is one of the most visited cultural institutions on the island.
