The City Walls
One of the symbols of Novigrad, and at the same time its most prominent feature, are the city walls. Due to the turbulent past, the historical core of the city was completely surrounded by walls. The city walls contain rich historical stories of events that have influenced the development of the city itself. The walls were built on late antique remains, in the 13th century after Venetians had entered the city. Over time, the walls were renewed and reinforced with a square tower and a round Renaissance tower. The walls, along with the sound of waves colliding with them, tell a lot of stories. After enjoying them you will surely wish to return to Novigrad.
