The Rigo Palace
The Rigo Palace
The Rigo Palace, Baroque style was built in 1760. It is the home of the Rigo family whose members were members of the Novigrad nobility. They performed some of the most important functions in the city and had not neglected their job, but they also advocated the construction of a new city palace. The big reddish building was built in the style of the Central European Baroque. Its facade has a lot of decorative elements which is characteristic for Istrian palaces dating from this period.
