The Sinčić Palace
The Sinčić Palace is the most important and the largest baroque palace in Poreč, built in the 18th century. It was built by Antonio Sincich, a member of one of the most influential families in Poreč at the time. It is characterized by a special layout, typical of the baroque style, where each floor includes a central salon surrounded by four rooms. This can be seen on the facade of the building which contains balconies in the middle, while the right and left part of the facade consist of framed windows. Today, the Museum of the Poreč Territory, and the oldest museum in Istria, can be found there. The museum collects researches and preserves valuable cultural objects from Poreč and the territory of Poreč, and it encompasses over 15,000 objects divided into five sections.
