The Zuccato Palace
The Zuccato Palace (Poreč)
The beautiful Zuccato Palace is located on the corner of ancient Roman streets, Decumanus and Cardo. The palace was built in the form of a three-storey building with elements of the Baroque and Gothic style, among which the most prominent are Gothic openings and windows; monophoras, biforas and triphoras with a beautiful, three-leafed floral finish. The ground floor and first floor of the palace were built of stone, while the second floor was made of the brick. The second floor is decorated with various architectural details, such as stone windows and power-ups that stand out against the reddish color. Interestingly, the biphora on the first floor and the first monophora on the facade were made of Korčula stone that varies in color. The interior layout did not retain its original form.
