Town Hall
Town Hall
The Town Hall is located in a large square-shaped tower, which was built by the islanders in the 15th century. It was originally located within the town walls, and on the ground floor there were the city gates. The Town Hall is decorated with the coats of arms of doge Augustin Barbariga, which testifies to the strong influence of the Venetian government, and the most standout decoration is an unusual clock set on the eastern side of the building. The clock was first mentioned in 1538, but unlike the usual clocks, this has 24 fields.
