On the southern coast of Istria there is a tourist village Valbandon, followed by a long history. According to archaeological research, this area was inhabited even in prehistoric times. It was named after the Italian Vala Abandonat, referring to a deserted cove. After the plague in the 19th century, Valbandon was again beginning to be settled and a fish factory was opened there, but the inhabitants eventually opted for tourism. Near Valbandona there is the Brijuni National Park which will leave you speechless with its natural beauty.
