Varaždinske toplice
It is situated in the Croatian Zagorje, near the river Bednja. It is famous for the thermal water that has healed people since ancient times, and has been known to the Romans who named the city Aqua Iasae. The temperature at the wellspring is 58 ° C, and the depth is approximately 1800 meters. Varaždin spa is the oldest Croatian thermal spa, but it is also interesting since it keeps a very important archaeological complex, i.t. the Roman thermal baths. The modern spa was made in 1820, and in the early 20th century, it became a prominent destination for health tourism. Today, it represents a thermal Riviera which provides a variety of recreational and healing facilities.
