Vidova Gora is located at 778 meters above sea level on the island of Brač. It is the highest peak of archipelago in Adriatic Sea. In the summer, from Vidova Gora you can see the beaches Zlatni rat and Bol and at sunny days you can see islands like Vis, Korčula, Jabuka and Biševo. In the winter Vidova Gora is covered with snow. The mountain is named after St. Vid and the Church of St. Vid that is covered below the ruins. To particular places of Vidova Gora you can go by car, but to reach its top you must go by foot for about 10 minutes. The trail leading to the top is suitable for pedestrians and cyclists. On the top of Vidova Gora is a cross made of white stone and the tavern Vladimir Nazor in which you can refresh yourself. Admission is free.
