The church of St. Philip and Jacob is situated on a cliff above the old part of Novi Vinodolski. The church dates back to the 14th century when it served as a basilica. It received its present, Baroque appearance in the 18th century. A very important part of this church is certainly the bell tower which is even 36 meters high. Upon entering the church you will be amazed to see a Baroque bench made of carved wood, while the main altar bears figures of saints. Apart from two beautiful relics and an illuminated Glagolitic Code, here you can also see the tomb of the local bishop Krištafor from 1499.
