Fabian Church
The Church of St. Fabian and Sebastian
The Church of St. Fabian and Sebastian is a small building with a very deep biography. This small church played a significant part in the history of Rijeka in terms of health, due to this it is dedicated to the patron against the plague. At the site of today’s church, at the end of the 13th century, as a vow after the disappearance of the plague, an even smaller church was initially erected. This church is interesting only as a testimony of the plague that plundered the town of Rijeka, but it is also notable for the fact that it stores valuable objects from other small churches which were destroyed during the 18th century.
