Church of St. Cosmas and Damian
The church dedicated to St. Cosmas and Damian was built in 1554 and is located outside the city walls on a small square. The year of its construction is engraved at the church entrance. At the entrance you can see a portico supported by frail, brittle columns. The church was rebuilt in 1834, and in 1954 its interior was redecorated. In 1988 Ivan Lovrenčić made frescoes for the interior of the church. On the outer wall of the church you can see the inscription: “This church was built thanks to the voluntary work and donations of the faithful from the surrounding area”, which indicates how much the locals cared about this small church.
