Church of St. Mihovil
The church of St. Michael was built in 12th century and later adapted to Gothic style in 14th century. Gothic portal dominates facade of the church while its interior hides a valuable 13th century wall relief showing crucifixion. The monastery keeps a small art collection, including valuable paintings: ‘Our Lady of the Snow’ (around 1600), ‘Lucia’ from 16th century by unknown artist, ‘The Last Supper’from 16th or 17th century, portrait of Francis Tucker from 1698 and the ‘Flagellation’ from 16th century. There is also a sculpture showing Virgin Mary and Child with angels from 17th century and liturgical vessels from 18th century. In 1818, Franciscan monastery was built right next to the church and throughout its long history it is used to be a parish church and seat to many fraternities.
