Children’s Park and Monument (of fallen soldiers and victims of fascist terror)
The former Yugoslavia is full of monuments dedicated to the National Liberation and the World War II. It is assumed that there are about 15,000 of them and one is located in Rovinj. These monuments were placed in the form of sculpture, memorial mausoleums, memorial busts, commemorative plaque, memorial buildings and other. In Rovinj you can see the Monument to fallen soldiers and victims of fascist terror in 1956., a wonderful huge monument with busts to famous Croatian anti-fascists like Matteo Benussi Cio in its vincinity. There is a children’s playground with a variety of interesting content. The park is located near the market.
