This is a city famous for its valuable architectural cultural and historical heritage of the preserved Romanesque architecture and beautiful, Venetian Gothic palaces. The orthogonal urban system founded in the Roman period has been preserved in the old part to this date. It bloomed in the Byzantine during the reign of Emperor Justinian.
