Cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Rab)
The cathedral was built in the period of early Christianity, during the 4th century. However, later it got the characteristics of romanticism. The church gets its final shape during the 15th century when it was last updated. The church has a number of different images, relics and statues, among which stands out the statue of St. Christopher, the patron saint of the island. The cathedral of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a three-nave church with many motifs and works of art dedicated to Our Lady. Among these, the Byzantine icon, a painting of the Assumption of Mary and numerous other statues. Near the church is a bell tower, which dates from the 13th century.
