The oldest and smallest place on the island of Korčula is Pupnat. It is located 360 m above sea level, which is the highest point of the island of Korčula. It is located 11km from the town of Korčula. The village is famous for its numerous findings from the Illyrian and Roman times. The village is characterized by a number of homes with stone slabs, its chivalrous and religious tradition and the beautiful Pupnat port. In the village are many restaurants which offer local specialties, such as Koraja with cabbage, grilled dishes and figs bilice. Pupnat has recently become increasingly popular among tourists who want to relax in this beautiful Dalmatian village.
