Vinag on the Liberty Square 3 is a wine cellar with a rich tradition. It draws its roots from 1800s, when Alojz Kriehuber bought the villa with the cellar from Knights of Malta. Kriehuber made a number of excellent business decisions and left the cellar and considerable wealth to his son. His son further expanded the cellar as well as the business. Today, the wine cellar Vinag is one of the largest and richest wine cellars in Europe and in the world. Here You can taste some of the best quality white wines like Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Traminer as well as Royal champagne. Wine archive contains over 250 thousand of bottles of the finest harvests, with the oldest bottles dating back to 1946. The total storage space of the cellar is stunning 5.5 million liters. You can go on a tour through the cellar for as little as €3, while a tour including wine tasting will cost You €5 per person.
